On day of 14 August 1948 Trust was formed under Name of 'Dakshin Gujarat Adivasi Pachatt Sevamandal' and was registered as Non-Profit making organization under Bombay Trust Act, 1960 (BOM XXIX of 1950) having registration Nos. F(67).
What was objective of Formations ?
Main objective to start Education Institution was to empower Tribal people of the region with knowledge, respectfully earn their livelihood, to make them self sufficient and can contribute in part of progressive Indepandent India.

Congregation of Gandhians and Freedom Fighters Premshankar Bhatt, Shri Kalyanji Mehta, Jyotsanaben Shukla, Jugatram Dave, Urmillaben Bhatt (kikiben) and Bhadur Patel.

Institute operates in Southern Tribal Belt popularly known as 'Dang' an forbidden territory covered with thick forest and amazing landscape, is mesmerizing beautiful region of the South Gujarat (Tribal Zone) - India located on foot hills of sahyadri range of mountains, its has beautiful green pastures, narrow roads, deep valleys, wild animals, In monsoon you can see water springs and land covered with green carpet of diverse flora/fauna. Region witness production of Teak Wood, Chesunuts, Mangoes, Honey etc. Influenc area is spread across five district viz, Dang, Navsari, Valsad , Surat and Bharuch covering 20,000 sq. kms.
What is the area of influence from where Students Come ?
Children of Tribal People from Western Ghat (Shayadri Range) that starts from South of Tapi River to deep jungles of Dang and Dharampur till Border of Maharashtra. Ethnic Tribal community of kholcha, Bhel, Nayaka, Koknas, Vedch, Gamits,Warlis, Chaudaris etc are benefited from modern education. Area is eight 'Hottest Biodiversity Hotspots' in world as defined by UNESCO World Heritage.
Why Students prefer Resident School or says Ashramshallas ?
Most of the parents are engaged in labor industry like infrastructure, chemical industry and are working away from home. Enrolling Kids in Ashrams facilitates parents for their livelihood and kids are provided enough infrastructure where their childhood is not snatched away and they can educate themselves in well organized and secured environment. Secondly most of the students are also living in remote areas away from basic education facilites and infrastructure so a Ashrams creates a points from education enrollments.
What is the fundamental background from where Students Comes for Schooling ?
Students coming are economically deprived society of Tribal population living below line of poverty and are mainly employed in labor work in industry of chemical, infrastructure projects etc. Parents of the students has to leave house to earn their livelyhood and most of time works in unorganized sector deprived of basic human neccessities.
Is it and Grant in Aid Institute ?
Yes it is partially grant in Institute only to take care basic running expense like limited food, staff salary, and basic needs of Students But grant so recieved is not sufficient to provide moderate facilities to the students.
What is fees for Schooling, Lodging and Boarding ?
There is no schooling, food bills or hostel fees for the Students, it is totally free.
How much grant is provided by Government of Gujarat ?
Government gives grant of 1500 Rs. per month for one student for 10 months under which institute has to cover all loding boarding, Breakfeast, Lunch, Snack and Dinner. Cost also covers medical expense, light bill of the school,education tour once in year, 2 pair of school uniform, toiletaire, general school maintainence etc.
What is Schooling and Education Infrastructure ?
A basic but comfortable and safe infrastructure is provided to the students. Civil Infrastructure is under reconstruction and rehabilation through private donors as Government does not provide any grants for Civil Works. Salary of Teachers is paid by the government but government does not provide enough number of teacher and quality teacher.
